“Tom! Wait up!” cried Layla in excruciating pain. “I’m going slow already. You are the slow pow” he replied.

“Once we’re done with this I’m gonna smash him” mumbled Layla. “What was that?” asked Tom. “Nothing” replied Layla.

As the two children swaggered along the dessert, the endless trip came to a stop.

“Here we are, our stop before the temple. And get the eye of Horus” added Layla

“3,2,1” the twins cried in unison and ran like bullets into the hole. Once inside the pyramid, it was really frosty.

“Where’s that biting cold coming from?” asked Tom.

“ I don’t know but we are suppose to look for the eye of Horus, remember?” asked Layla.

“Yep, yep…. Look! Look! The eye of Horus!” yelled Tom.

“Grab it, I’ll get a head start to the temple!” replied Layla.

Once they were back in the crouching heat, the twins went to the temple.

“Woah! Look at that massive temple!” said Tom in disbelief. “I know, right?” agreed Layla.

Suddenly the twins realise that they were standing in the middle of an arena. “Hold onto your wraps Layla” said Tom. “I can’t wait for the rest of the mummies to hear this!” screamed Layla. The twins realised that two guards were about to fight them, so they quickly put on gear and got weapons. “Fight! fight! fight! fight!” screeched the audience. Sweat glistened in the twins forehead as the two guards snorted away.

“Wait! Layla! We have the eye of Horus! Tom thought aloud, show it to Layla!” The radiant light illuminated the arena. There was a hush silence in the crowd. “Seeeee……all we want to do is see the Griffin God!” exclaimed Layla. “We will lead the way” one of the guards said. As the twins walked along, they felt much more peaceful.

“Oh my gosh! Look Tom, the Griffin God!”yelled Layla. There sitting on the table was mighty Griffin. It had pearl white feathers with two majestic wings, Eagle talons with a powerful tail, a sharp beak was on it’s nose. Neck down it had a large cat’s body. “All praise the Griffin God” whispered Layla.
